Charlyn Stanberry, Board Member

Charlyn Stanberry is the Vice President of Government Relations at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). She joined NAB after serving as Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09). Previously she served as her Legislative Director and Counsel managing her legislative portfolio as Vice Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. She is also an Adjunct Professor for Florida International University’s Honors College teaching their Washington, D.C. seminar course.
 
Charlyn has also served as Vice President of External Affairs for Net Communications, Counsel for the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council and as Professional Staff for the Congressional Black Caucus under the tenure of former HUD Secretary and Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11).
 
Charlyn serves in leadership capacities for several philanthropic organizations, including as Past President of the Junior League of Washington and Vice President of the National Bar Association. Additionally, she serves on the boards for the Vote Mama Foundation, Public Affairs Council and Foggy Bottom West End Main Street. She is a proud member of the CBCF Corporate Advisory Council and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She has received numerous recognitions for her advocacy work including being named to the Top Lobbyists List for The Hill and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics. Most recently she was recognized as one of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. 2025 Power 50 Women of Influence.
 
Charlyn holds a J.D. from Florida International University’s College of Law and M.P.A. and B.S.B.A. from the University of Central Florida.
